Roundabout rugby

This is roundabout rugby we had to start at 9:00 am for a round probain towmanmint.It is for havelock North jr rugby club even though I play for Hastings rugby and sports we have to do havelock.here are all the games that they play.Each team plays each other team only once.

There are two fields available for the games. North and South Fields.

There is to be a half hour break for lunch to rest the referees.

Each game is played for 30 minutes, with a 10 minute break between games.

No team will play more than two consecutive games.

Kick off is 9am

Oscar,Josh and Flynn's story

There once lived a man called Cape. He was at his friends house when a kidnapper smashed open the door and kidnapped him. The kidnapper took him to a cave at Clifton and left him there overnight. Cape woke up the next morning and no-one was there, So he ran away to the beach below.  

He was starving and he had no food to eat. He lay down for a while and then found and egg. So he ate it, he started feeling sick and tingly and then minutes later he evolved into a Gannet.

Over time Cape kept growing a gannet family of gannets. every now and then a group of gannets would fly by and stop to lay their eggs.

From then on the gannets have used cape kidnappers as their home and will continue laying eggs and living in the clift.

NZ Army

Today we where lucky enough to have the NZ army come and do a Display.We got to go into the MOG's witch is a Big Brown Truck.Then we learn about how they Live at war.Then we did a fitness course and We had to run underneath the camo cloak and jump through the tires I was first to get the weding on the webing weighs 7 kgs .Then we had to run to the rugby posts and back to the Army Dudes

Oscars Camp Recount/Tubes of Death

Last week Room 15/13 went on camp at Weka point which is about 40 mins out of Taradale. We had done rafting and orienteering before we To the Tyres and we were the first group to go rafting and that is what they are meant to be for but one to afternoon Clay,Hayden,Jake,Reif,Tristan and I started rolling down the hill on the tubes then we where going to fast so we decided to make a barricade and I was in the front row with Reif and Tristan.In the front row you have big and small tyres and you sit down and get wrecked by the tyres.The best at the tires where Clay,Hayden and Curtis.It was so fun thank you to all the teachers and parents who helped on the 2015 HNI school camp,it was I had a great time.Here is a video on the tyres

 This Rotation in Electronics term 1 we have been working very hard on a Alarm that will ether be a flashing LED or a Buzzer I course a Buzzer This is the view for the top and the front.I couse my alarm to when it see's light it will let of a buzzer.We had to go and get a paper bag that had the wood to make and pop up.then you up down the Coper tape and solder and tin all the resistors and Probs here is the finished result

Back story on how she got her powers:

Nancy was sneaking behind Nazi lines and they were testing nuclear weapons and they had a misfire and hit the the ground and the radiation got into Nancys bloodstream and thats what gave her the powers.

Why we should have a fridge and a pantry.

Why can't we have a fridge and pantry if some of the Students forgot to bring lunch they would not be able too afford it.They would go hungry and not learn or do something stupid the school would turn to into a big hassle sorting out the night kids because they were hungry.Then after a hot day the class could come back from p.e and have an ice cold drink e.g Powerade,lime flavoured water,or just water,etc

Instead of bringing lunch boxes we could put food in the pantry/fridge because most kids don't like sandwiches that their mum makes. We could bring like 2 minute noodles,mac and cheese like Mr Billings,scroll scones,etc

from the night before we heat up Curry and anything.

So you can have yummy food instead of boring sandwiches

I think We should have pantry and a fridge in our class.Do you? Please comment what you think.

Bottle Volume VS Water Height

In maths we are learning to measure the capacity of bottles. Tyler and I worked together.We poured out 100 ml each time. Then we'd measure the height of the water that's left in the bottle until we had nothing left in our bottle.We used a pump bottle lime.

Taste Taste is your tongue. If we didn't have a tongue then we wouldn't be able to taste nice foods and bad foods. The way that the tongue works is the taste buds works together to tell the brain if it is bad or good. we have over 10,000 taste buds in our mouth and every single one of them gets replaced every two weeks. when you look in the mirror you can't really see them but they are one of the most important things in our body On our tongue it is split up into three different sections sweet at the very tip of the tongue and then the salty and sour are on the sides. On the back side of the tongue there is the bitter . If we never had taste we wouldn't be able to experience what nice foods would taste like.

Sir Edmund Hillary

Q  Where was Sir Edmund Hillary born and what was his background.

A    He had one brother and one sister .His brothers job was a Beekeeper as well . His parents were Percival and Gertrude .Sir Ed was born in Auckland on 20th of July 1919 and died on the 11 of January 2008 .He went to school at Auckland Grammar.

He gained his love of the mountains when still at school when he went to Mount Ruapehu. He was a huge man standing at 6 ft 5 almost as high as the door.

Sir Edmund had three children Sarah,Belinda and Peter, Peter has also  climbed  Mt Everest.  He was married twice, his first wife Louise and his youngest daughter Belinda were sadly killed in a plane crash in Nepal in 1975. Sir Ed is the only New Zealander alive at the time to have his name on a bank note and considered in the top 100 most influential people of the 20 th century.

2. Q. What was his job before he climbed Mount Everest.

A He was a beekeeper in Tuakau south of Auckland . Him and his brother Peter worked at the same beehive as him having hives all over the Counties and Waikato region. When he became famous the bees did not feature strongly in his life as he was now one of the famous people in the world along with Sherpa Tenzing Norgay whom together climbed to the summit.

3.Q What was sir Edmund Hillary’s training for Mount Everest

A He had to climb 11 peaks including the highst peak in our country Mount Aoraki/Cook. The first mountian that he climbed was Mt Ruapehu and spent many years exploring the Southern Alps. From that time onwards Sir Ed was hooked on his new passion and joined with a Hastings man called George Lowe who was a school teacher at Hastings Boys High school.

He went to Tibet and Nepal and joined up with expeditions around the Himalayan region .He climbed Mount Everest on  the 29th of May 1953 along with Tenzing

Norgay .
